This site is an excellent international and historical directory for built architecture.  Over 750 buildings and their architects are available, complete with brief biographical information, descriptions of the buildings, and a short resource list.  Each building has construction date, location, building type, and other fields. Searchable by name of building, architect, or place.  Entries with photographs are shown in bold type.

The Perseus Digital Library is a continually growing collection of resources for studying the ancient world, having more than 13,000 images of vase paintings, coins, architecture, and site plans, as well as full-text of many Greek and Latin classics.

The ULAN Browser is a database of names and associated information (such as dates, variant names, pseudonyms, and language variants) about artists. "Artists" can include individuals or groups of individuals working together and range from painters to ceramicists, and architects to draftsmen.  Part of the Getty Vocabulary Program.
